Some awards are more meaningful than others, and the Angie’s List Super Service Award is one of them. The criteria a business must meet to earn the award is stringent, which ultimately gives the award more distinction. Mowery Heating, Cooling and Plumbing is proud to announce that we are recipients of this coveted service award.
Angie’s List is a service that combines customer reviews with grades, but not just anyone can offer reviews. Members pay to be part of the site, and only members can offer reviews. As a result, consumers are motivated to share honest reviews for the good of their fellow members. Other types of services often allow businesses to manipulate the standings, but that’s not possible on Angie’s List.
Of all the businesses with listings on Angie’s List, only 5 percent have met the criteria to earn the Super Service. Angie’s List highly competitive grading rubric includes these factors:
- Businesses must maintain a superior rating for at least one year before receiving the award.
- Businesses must receive a minimum amount of total reviews over the past three years (the number of reviews varies per market).
- An “A” grade must be held in three categories. Namely, the businesses’ grade point average must be higher than 3.5; their average over the last three years must be 3.5 or higher; the most recent grading period must show the business has scored high, with a grade of 3.5 for eight or more reviews, a grade of 3.67 for five to seven reviews, or a grade of 3.75 for three to four reviews.
The criteria is stringent for good reason: Angie’s List—businesses and members—know that the award truly shows that a business who earns the designation has earned the stamp of approval from members. Then, other members can trust the Super Service Award logo and use that business without hesitation.
